MPC exists to bring hope & build lives

the year was 1914

A tent was set up just north of Medora in a grove. A mighty Apostolic revival came to the small farming community nestled in the Hoosier Hills. The stories of miracles, signs, and wonders brought great interest and magnified God. By all accounts this is one of the first Apostolic churches in the state of Indiana.

After the tent meeting, church services were held in a store front on Perry Street. From there the people moved to a building on Main Street. The site for the present building was purchased December 30, 1915 for $110.00. Since that time the church has continued to grow to this day.

God has blessed Medora Pentecostal Church with generation after generation of faithful revival minded people. We are thankful for a unique and special heritage.

acts 2:42-47

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Core Beliefs

The Word of god

The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God, declaring absolute truth, and is our guidebook for living.

salvation
There is salvation from sin for all mankind through the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. God’s plan for salvation is concisely explained in Acts 2:38.
The Second Coming
Jesus is returning again for His Church (I Thessalonians 4:16-18).
God
There is One ever-living, eternal God, the creator and sustainer of all things, Who is infinite in power and holy in nature. God has manifest Himself as the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, and the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit) in the New Testament church.
Living Holy
God empowers and requires us to pursue a holy life. We are called to “be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.” (I Peter 2:9). The same grace God gives to save us empowers us to live clean lives in this present time. (Titus 2:11-12)
Everyone is Welcome

There is hope for all, help for the broken, and deliverance for the captive. There is a place for everyone in the Body of Christ. God has a divine purpose for all. We welcome any and everyone to come and worship our God with us!
